Each year, these important trade events gather several thousand professionals including chefs, cooks, bakers, confectioners, owners of patisseries, bakeries and coffee shops, restaurant owners, bartenders, baristas, food technologists, distributors, wholesalers, owners and managers of hotels, B&Bs, spa centres, sanatoriums, leisure centres, Spa&Wellness centres and conference venues.
The 2011 edition of the Fairs is extremely abundant in events. Lovers of excellent cuisine are welcome to attend the Culinary Forum organised by the Association of Polish Chefs and Confectioners, Region of Pomerania, where you can watch Master Chef Culinary Shows and find out the latest Culinary Trends in Global Catering. You can view the latest in Kashubian regional cuisine, vegetarian dishes, seafood, salads, meat, reception snacks and what’s hot in dish decorating techniques.

In keeping with BALTPIEK tradition, master bakers and confectioners will present their craft
to the visitors.

The Fair will be accompanied by the 2011 edition of the Guild of Bakers and Confectioners’ Senior Member Cup competition held under the motto: A Nursery for Sweet Talent.

The Association of Polish Chefs and Confectioners, Region of Pomerania, is organising its 1st Polish Young Cook Relay. There will also be a competition for young apprentices of the baking craft.

The contests are addressed to students of catering, confectionery and baking schools.

On Day 2 of the combined event, the best products will, as always, receive The Mercurius Gedanensis Medals, Mercurius Gedanensis Grand Prix and The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Award.
